Description of the Office

The Research and Community Service Coordinating Offices of the College of Business and Economics serve as the central units for facilitating research activities and community service initiatives. These offices aim to promote the generation of knowledge, innovation, and impactful solutions to societal challenges, fostering the integration of academic expertise with community needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Research Coordination: Facilitate and oversee research projects, ensuring alignment with the college’s strategic goals and national priorities.

Capacity Building: Organize training, workshops, and seminars to enhance research skills and community service competencies among faculty and students.

Community Engagement: Plan, implement, and monitor community service programs that address local and regional issues.

Resource Mobilization: Identify funding opportunities and support grant applications to sustain research and service activities.

Collaboration: Build partnerships with governmental, non-governmental, and private organizations to advance research and service objectives.

Monitoring and Reporting: Evaluate ongoing projects and provide periodic reports on research outcomes and community service impacts.

Policy Development: Develop and enforce policies that guide the college’s research and community service efforts.
