Department of Marketing Management is one of the fourth departments in College of Business and Economics at Woldia University. It was established in 2022 with the aim of producing qualified and competent marketing professionals to meet the needs of government, private, and non-government organizations. Furthermore, in addition to providing effective teaching and learning services, the department has been established to provide research and community services for the surrounding society. In conclusion, the program aims to produce marketing professionals who will contribute greatly to the development of modern marketing practices in Ethiopia.
The department has been started with four staff members to enroll 90 students during 2022. However, currently the department has 3 staff members. Among these 3 staff members, one with the position of assistant professor and 2 are lecturers. The staff members are participating in conducting problem solving research in the field and published on reputable international journals.
To become one of the excellent department in education, research and community engagement by the year 2030 at Woldia University in particular and Ethiopia in general.
To provide high-quality education that equips students with practical skills and knowledge necessary for success in the area of Marketing. The department is committed to providing effective teaching and learning services, and promoting research and community engagement that address real-world challenges.
